This is a showcase performance of our Teen Improv group that participated in a 5 week class and will have special guests, Stranger Than Fiction.
Instructor Tyler Paterson is a graduate of Second City Chicago, a frequent musical sit-in with Stranger than Fiction, and auditioned for Saturday Night Live in 2013. He is the founder of the Ocean Park Comedy Camp for Kids, and can usually be found asking his dog, “What are you chewing? What’s in your mouth? Where did you get that?
A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
A zany, wholesome, hilarious musical revue presented by the Little Sisters of Hoboken, Nunsense is a heavenly delight!
Nunsense is habit-forming! This riotous show is a fundraiser put on by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to raise money to bury sisters accidently poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God). Updated with new jokes, additional lyrics, two new arrangements, and a brand new song, this madcap musical was recorded for television starring Rue McClanahan as the Mother Superior.

About the Nasson Youth Theater
NYT: A Youth Theatre Company is a non-profit program for kids ages 8-18. We have professional directors help them craft their acting skills. We expose them to all aspects of theater and the arts, from lighting and sound to costume and sets.
In this five-week course along with a showcase on May 22 students, ages 13-18, will tap into their funny bone to learn the tenets of improv comedy. Through interactive exercises and games, each participant will learn how to best utilize their authentic selves to create one-of-a-kind scenes that make audiences howl with laughter – all without a script. From learning the basics of “Yes, And”, to more refined skills around reading a scene, using silence, and knowing when to pivot into seriousness, every student will get plenty of stage time and productive feedback inside of a safe learning environment. Plus, there will be a live showcase at the end of the session where the students will perform alongside veteran improvisers from the local troupe Stranger than Fiction! This class is for teens ages 13-18 only. Each class is on Friday from 6-7:30pm for 5 weeks (April 10, 17, 24, May 1, 8, OFF May 15) with a performance on Friday, May 22nd at 7pm.
